Fix Chrome to support extensions
I bumped in to another problem with my new browser. My AdSweep just stopped working so i started to search for a solution. The fix is to switch from Beta to Dev, because it seems that they disabled extensions in the beta version. I found the fix here :)

Blood preasure
Yesterday I bought a fan to make the riding on the trainer more pleasant. It is not the real thing but it's a bit better. Now I have to ride with glasses because the fan is set to maximum speed :)
Last night I measured my blood pressure and my pulse. After about 3 minutes my blood pressure was 210/100 and my pulse was 136. Then I was riding for about 20 minutes and I managed to get my pulse up to 166, and my blood pressure to 212/94. I'm sure that on a race day my pulse gets higher :)

Last ride with the red beast
Saturday I took my road bike out for the last time this year :(
The roads are getting very dirty and the fog was very thick. I had to clean the bike when I got home, it got wet from the fog and dirty from the road. I managed to go only 40 minutes (16,5km) because the fog was very thick and it was to dangerous to ride on a public road :(
This wasn't a good year for my red bike because I bought a mountain bike but I hope next year I will get her out more and I'll keep riding her on the trainer until next spring :)

Training stats
Yesterday i mounted the cyclocomputer to the rear tire to have some statistics :)
I am riding for about 40 minutes. I start wit a warm up, about 5-6 minutes. Then 7 minutes at a speed that is slightly hard to maintain (about 40-42 km/h), after that 3 minutes at a lower speed (20-24 km/h). I repeat this two more times. After this workout I stay on the bike for another 5 minutes to relax.
So here are the statistics from last nights work out:
- time: 40 minutes
- avg speed: 32,1 km/h
- distance: 21,45 km
- max speed: 63,7 km/h
There is an xls file on the minoura website so I looked up my performance. I produce about 200 W :)
I will get back with pictures and more statistics soon.

The browsers I use
A few weeks ago I started using the Google browser, Chrome 4 beta. It is a lot faster then Firefox :D
The only reason I still use Firefox sometimes is the Firebug :)
The only problem with Chrome is that it doesn't display pdf files. I searched around and I found the fix. Just resize the window and the document magically appears :D
Firefox vs Chrome
What is better in FF:
- Firebug
- how you can search in the history, you just type part of the URL or the page title and it searches in the history
- you can delete pages from the history just pressing "Delete"
What is better in Chrome:
- speed
- syncing browsing data with your Google account, this way if you have more computers you can have all your bookmarks and history everywhere :)
I'm waiting for FF 4, and I'm curious if it will beat Chrome 4, but if Chrome will have Firebug I will downgrade Firefox to testing browser :)
My Browsers:
- Chrome: main browser
- Firefox: only for debugging
- Opera: did you know it has a torrent client? ;)
- ie: just for testing or downloading other browsers on a fresh windows install :D

I saw my friends again...
This weekend I went for a ride with a friend. It was almost the same trail as last week. The weather was OK but the trail was more slippery than last week so I hit the ground on the way home :(
On the field the deers jumped in front of me. I wasn't prepared so I couldn't take a picture with all of them :( I think these were the same deers I saw a week before. I'll try to catch all of them (about 15 deers) with my camera next week :)
Stats:
- time: 2 hours (with a lot of stops to get the mud off the bikes)
- distance: 23,74 km
- avg speed: 11,81 km/h
- max speed: 60,5 km/h (on asphalt)

I'm definitely out of the cave :D
YES!!! As you've seen in my previous post I have a PC. Maybe I was the only programmer in the world that didn't have a PC (or laptop) at home :D
I left my laptop home at my parent this spring. After the cycling season ended I decided that it's time to buy a PC. First I bought the monitor/tv (SyncMaster 2333HD) and then the black box :D
Specs:
- Gigabyte motherboard
- AMD Phenom II X2 @ 3GHz
- 2x2GB DDR3 Kingston memory
- 500GB HDD Western Digital
- 9600GT Video Card with 1GB DDR3 for the games :D
- Asus DVD writer

Trainer
Last night I finally got my trainer :D It is a Minoura M50 and it was ordered from here. It was very easy to mount so I tried it last night. I was sweating very much, like in a sauna. Now I know why they make training mats to protect the floor from sweat stains.
Here are some pics from my bike on the trainer:

Last Sunday
Last Sunday I went for a ride in the woods. The weather was great, the trail was slippery so it was a lot of fun. But the forest was very sad with almost all the leaves on the ground :(
I saw a lot of deers on the field (about 15) :D
